Meadow is an English shepherd and has been working in the field since she was 9 weeks old. Magpie is a border collie, a former ranch dog reject, that joined S&A when she was 3 years old. Meadow sticks close to the action, monitoring that all goes according to plan, while Magpie scouts the perimeter, surveying our work from the top of beaver dams and downed trees. In Meadow’s off time, she is a farm dog, herding dog, backpacking dog, and competes in agility. Magpie’s favorite pastime, besides catching small rodents, is curling up on her bed and getting snuggles.
