Schott & Associates, Inc. conducted a wetland delineation on the site and prepared multiple reports to include a delineation report, wetland fill permit application and sensitive lands report. The study area consisted of a pipeline easement that extends acress Rock Creek, and associated wetland, a tributary of Rock Creek and the area 50 feet east and west of the pipeline. A Service Provider Letter was issued by Clean Water Services of Washington County Oregon. Department o State Lands concurred with the delineation report and issued a "no permit needed".
Gilbert Heights, City of Portland Parks Department
A wetland determination was conducted on the site. No wetlands were discovered.
Bear Creek Park, City of Medford Parks Department
The purpose of this project was to provide a new access to Bear Creek Park. The need for the new entrance was created by the construction of the New South Medford I-5 Interstate Interchange. The new interchange was aligned with Highland Drive, which became a major collector street. For safety reasons the park entrance needed to align with an existing street. The new alignment forced a wetland impact, which required wetland fill permitting. The permit application included a wetland mitigation plan. The construction of the mitigation area was monitored during construction, and planting. The development of the mitigation area will be monitored for the next five years.
Paradise Ranch, Merlin Oregon, Carling of America
A 400 acre site being developed as a destination resort. Both Schott & Associates and Ellis Ecological Services consulted on this project. A wetland delineation was conducted on this site, and obtained concurrence from DSL. A wetland Dredge and Fill Permit Application was prepared and submitted to both DSL and COE. The application included w wetland functional analysis, alternatives analysis, and mitigation plans for over 5 acres of wetland impacts. Permits have been issued by both agencies. In addition, surveys were conducted for endangered plants know to occur within the vicinity. The biggest issue concerned the projects potential impacts on Salmon and steelhead. Harris Creek is listed as an essential salmonid habitat stream. Ellis conducted a habitat assessment, prepared a Biological Assessment, and designed mitigation plans for potential impacts to fish. The mitigation plans included resolving fish barriers.
